Ilsur Metshin met with Chulpan Khamatova
(Kazan City KZN.RU, July 6). Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin met with the well-known theater and film actress Chulpan Khamatova. The meeting was held in the City Hall.
The actress arrived in Kazan on tour with the troupe of "Sovremennik" Moscow theater. The Mayor pointed out that the first tour of "Sovremennik", one of the best Russian theaters is a significant event for Kazan. "Everybody is excited about the performances; I am very pleased that we can see your work the anniversary season. Thank you from all the residents of Kazan"- Ilsur Metshin addressed to the actress.
Chulpan Khamatova, in turn, said to the Mayor of Kazan that the audience greeted performances fantastically, theater halls are overcrowded. Also the actress gave thanks from artistic director Galina Volchek. "Galina asked to thank you for such a long tour," - Ch.Hamatova said. Ilsur Metshin noted that the tour took place with the direct support of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
"I am delighted with such comments were received. I hope that your tour in Kazan will be a good tradition, and not only in the anniversary year", - I. Metshin said.
The meeting was also attended by Chief of Staff of the Executive Committee of Kazan Igor Sivov and director of the theater Igor Popov.
Recall tour of "Sovremennik" is held in Kazan from 1 to 7 July. The theater (and about 200 people who came to Kazan) present famous performances from its large repertoire in Tatarstan's capital: "Three Comrades" by Erich Maria Remarque, "The Cherry Orchard" by Anton Chekhov, "Two for the Seesaw" by William Gibson and "Woe from Wit " by Alexander Griboyedov.
