I. Metshin invited "Rubin" players for the opening of school playground
(Kazan City KZN.RU, June 17). A new multi-purpose sports yard was opened in Kazan at the territory of school i№143 in Novo Savinovsky district. The Mayor of Kazan, the president of FC "Rubin" Ilsur Metshin congratulated the residents with the opening. The Mayor talked to the students and came out on the field along with the school team and the players of "Rubin" Elmir Nabiullin and Igor Portniagin.
The players of the football club of RT capital talked to the Kazan students before the opening of the site. They held a small training for children and wished them success in sports friendly matches.
Ilsur Metshin congratulated the residents of the neighborhood with the opening of the site. Mayor of Kazan said that the object was built as part of the presidential program for the construction of universal sports grounds. "Thanks to the initiative and support of Rustam Minnikhanov in the city 38 such sites have already been built, and this work will be continued," - the Mayor said. Also Ilsur Metshin thanked the school director Svetlana Yevdokimova for work with children and awarded the best sportsmen of the school with the All-Russian signes.
The director, in turn, thanked the city authorities for support and noted that children have more opportunities to engage in sports and achieve significant results. "Today - a victory in the school field, and tomorrow - a victory at the Olympic Games", - S.Evdokimova said.
Universal platform includes a mini-football field with artificial turf, basketball-volleyball court and fitness complex. I. Metshin visited the new facility and talked to the students of the school, advising young girls do gymnastics and athletics. Also the Mayor struck a penalty on the football field and then signed on the ball and gave it to the goalkeeper in memory. 20 balls have been transferred to the school.
On the opening day at the site a big celebration with an extensive concert program was held. The youngest participants competed in fun competitions, friendly matches in football and basketball took place.
