Excavation of the left tunnel to the underground "Dubravnaya" - "Victory Avenue" completed in Kazan

(Kazan City KZN.RU, April 15, Zilya Ghafi). In Kazan at street Zorge excavation of the left tunnel from the "Dubravnaya" metro station to "Victory Avenue" station completed. The ceremony was attended by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Minister of Transport and Road Management of RT Lenar Safin, head of Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts Andrey Lobov and CEO of JSC "Kazmetrostroy" Marat Rakhimov.

In front of the assembled Canadian tunnel complex «Lovat» drilled the last centimeters of soil, guests and 50 subway builders accompanied the end of the work with loud applause. "Today we witnessed how "Kazmetrostroy" finished the final tunneling of the first subway line. We have not remained without work in Kazan, our company has been in existence for 19 years, and Kazan, along with Moscow and St. Petersburg, is one of the few Russian cities where the subway construction continues, "- Marat Rakhimov said.

Now at "Dubravnaya" metro station the main construction works end. "The President instructed to prepare schedules and cost estimates for the financing to complete the construction. Now at the station monolithic structure being built, finishing in the lobbies started (the device of brick walls, buildings and the ventilation chamber switchboard, smoke removal systems and other works), execution of all documents for materials for arrangement of the station finishes", - Marat Rakhimov said.

Today the left tunnel excavation ended and the right tunnel is ready for laying of the permanent way. "By the fall we will try to make an examination, and I think, till the beginning of winter we will get a design decision and will be able to start tunneling the second metro line. This time will be used for the preparation of the rings, repair of tunnel boring systems, and we have 4. Scheme of stations is approved, the landing place agreed with the city. I think that for the City Day, August 30, 2017, we will put the station into operation fully, that is with an accomplishment,"- Marat Rakhimov told about the plans.

The next step will be the construction of the stations of the first stage of the second metro line. According to Marat Rakhimov, none of metro stations of the second line will not be put in operation alone. Stations "Fucik", "10th district", "Lomzynskaya" and "Sakharov" will be commissioned at the same time, by which time it is planned to build and interchange line. Dates have not been determined by designers.

Recall the final construction of the first metro line station "Dubravnaya" and the design of the first stage of the second line of Kazan underground is underway since 2014. Excavation of right distillation of tunnel "Dubravnaya" - "Victory Avenue" was launched March 20, 2015, which was successfully completed in the summer. December 23, 2015 «Lovat» began tunneling of left distillation of tunnel length of 672 m.
