R. Minnikhanov and I. Metshin visited the site of the championship «WorldSkills Russia»
(Kazan City KZN.RU, April 9). The President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Regional Championship «Young professionals» (WorldSkills Russia 2016) of the Republic of Tatarstan. He was accompanied by Minister of Communications and Mass Communications of Russia Nikolai Nikiforov, head of the Office of the President of RT Asgat Safarov, Assistant to the President of RT Leila Fazleeva, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Deputy Prime Minister of RT - Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov and others. Championship started on April 7 and is held on the territory of "Kazan Fair" exhibition center.
The three-day championship involves 454 contestants, including 100 representatives from 17 Russian regions. During the event, «JuniorSkills» competition in 15 competencies with school children aged 10 to 17 years are held. Competitions will be held on the 56 competencies. All professions are divided into 6 major sections: construction, industry, IT, services, maintenance of civil transport, creativity and design. Today the closing ceremony and awarding of the winners of the championship will be held.
According to the RT Government Portal, the guests got acquainted with the work of the contestants, rated the product prepared by the guys in the framework of competencies and talked with them and experts. Young participants have demonstrated skills in carpentry, roofing business, landscaping, veterinary, restaurant service, etc. As noted by experts, who present many regions of Russia in the championship, level of competitors from Tatarstan is high enough.
At the end of the championship team of Tatarstan will be formed to participate in the semi-finals and final of the National Championship "Young Professionals". The semi-final of the championship of the Volga Federal District will take place from 13 to 16 April in Saransk (Mordovia) on 26 competencies. Tatarstan will be represented in all 26 competencies. Finals will be held in the Moscow region from 23 to 27 May.
Recall, the world championship «WorldSkills Competition» is held every two years. Nearest Championship 2017 will be held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates - Abu Dhabi. Russia will take world competition in 2019. Especially for the event exhibition complex "Kazan WorldSkills Arena" with total area of 269 square meters and a capacity of more than 45 thousand people will be built.
