Mayor of Kazan met with the Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia

(Kazan City KZN.RU, March 15, Zilya Gayfi). Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin met with the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Anton Inyutsyn. At the meeting, held at the exhibition center "Kazan Fair", the parties discussed the implementation of energy saving programs and conducting of special events. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Head of the Executive Committee on Housing Alexander Lobov.

The meeting was held at the initiative of the Ministry of Energy of Russia. Anton Inyutsyn invited Ilsur Metshin to take part in the V International Forum on energy conservation, energy efficiency and energy development “ENES-2016”, which will take place from 23 to 25 November in Moscow. "This year we will be holding an anniversary forum. Last year the forum was held at the highest level with a meeting of energy ministers of the BRICS countries. We also summed up the competition "MediaTEK" among the press officers of regions and companies in the fuel and energy complex. This year the theme of the forum will be the sustainable development of urban power grid. Since you are the chairman of the Association of Cities of the Volga region and the co-president of the World Organization "United Cities and Local Governments", we would like to invite you to the forum of heads of the capitals of the BRICS countries. The joint development of common standards of life in large cities, including in the field of energy, will be discussed at this meeting. One of the priority themes is the uninterrupted provision of the population with hot water without the summer off. In fact, this is the most important task on which we can work together", - Deputy Minister of Energy said.

Ilsur Metshin, in turn, suggested Anton Inyutsyn to speak at a meeting of the Executive Bureau of the World Organization "United Cities and Local Governments", which will be held in Kazan May 25-28. “Executive Bureau is the highest council of UCLG, which consists of about 70 members from all five continents of the world. We will be happy to provide you with a platform to speak. Often mayors want a substantive discussion at such meetings to be able to share their experiences in different areas of the city economy - transport service organization, debris removal, implementation of energy efficiency programs,"- said the Mayor.

According to Anton Inyutsyn, Moscow has something to share with other cities. So, thanks to the introduction of energy efficient technologies in three years they managed to increase the light level of the city by 60% without increasing the cost of external light, and further – to embrace the capital of architectural and artistic lighting.

The meeting also discussed the possibility of Kazan to participate in the first All-Russian Festival of energy saving "Brighter together", which is scheduled for September 2-3 in Moscow. The organizers plan to bring to the event 13 megacities, including Kazan. Ilsur Metshin declared the readiness of the capital of Tatarstan to support forum.

Today's meeting was held in the framework of the XVII International specialized exhibition "Energy. Resource" and XVI International Symposium "Energy and energy efficiency", which was opened by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The event was attended by acting Prime Minister of RT Alexei Pesoshin, heads of the republican ministries and departments.

The exhibition "Energy. Resource" is one of the leading events of energy issues in Russia and the CIS and the most effective platform for the demonstration and promotion of energy-efficient and resource-saving technologies and equipment, solve business problems, the exchange of experience and good scientific ideas on a wide range of energy and resource problems.

This year the exhibition is attended by more than 170 companies, businesses and research organizations from Russia, Germany, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, representative companies of Denmark, Slovenia, the USA, Switzerland and Japan.
