Ilsur Metshin visited the New Year Fair in Old Tatar settlement

(Kazan City KZN.RU, December 29, Irina Smirnova). Large-scale festivities are held today in the Old Tatar settlement in Kazan. There New Year's Fair is open and fully working, an ice rink with ice skate rentals located, performances of street artists conducted, fireworks marked the opening of one of the city's New Year trees. Fair in the Old Tatar settlement was visited by Mayor Ilsur Metshin.

The Mayor pointed out that the holding of such fairs with the rink, mobile theater, food points, which offer national Tatar cuisine, will attract the attention of not only of the citizens of Kazan, but also of many tourists.

Today, starting at 16.00, on the territory of the Christmas Fair in the Old-Tatar settlement animators, interactive platforms, soloists and creative collectives, theatrical programs, and, of course, Grandfather Frost and Snow Maiden were waiting for guests. Bright lights, a skating rink, catchy music, New Year sweets and souvenirs create an atmosphere of celebration for the visitors. Spectators were able to see the staging of "Ole Lukkoye", presented by actors of one of theater mobiles. Ilsur Metshin also praised the work of street artists.

According to the Development Assistance Committee of Tourism of Kazan, 30-31 December 2015 and 1, 3, 5, 7 January 2016 street performances will begin at 17:00 at the address st. Marjani, 8. New Year Fair itself is open every day from 15.00 to 21.00 during the period from December 25 to January 7. Time of the fair will change only on December 31 and January 1: 15.00 to 19.00 and from 17.00 to 21.00 respectively.
