With this Kazan is successfully moving away from infrastructure collapse. This opinion was expressed by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin in the course of Business Monday.

"Today, one third of the total roads in Kazan are brought to a normal state, that is every three square meters of the roadway is renovated, - says I. Metshin. - We see that a lot was done in this direction, but also understand that more must be done. Next year it is necessary not only to plan new works, but also to talk with the population, to know their opinion on the repair of roads in settlements. It can be noted that the city of Kazan is successfully moving away from infrastructure collapse".

In total this year in Kazan 458 different objects were repaired, including 220 yards and 25 driveways. The effect of this can be felt by more than 80 thousand citizens. "This year in Kazan 3 billion rubles were allocated, including 500 million rubles to repair yards, 250 million rubles - to improve the roads in settlements, 150 million rubles to repair the sidewalks of tourists routes, 2,1 billion rubles - for the restoration of the worn layer of asphalt of concrete pavement of city roads, "- Chairman of the Committee to the external improvement of the city Igor Kulyazhev reported.

Ilsur Metshin recalled that to maintain the city roads up to standard in Kazan 6 billion rubles required annually. It is difficult to get funding in such volumes in today's challenging economic situation. However, the rating of the "People's Control" suggests that Kazan has managed to make a huge step forward in road repair. A significant achievement is the one fact that in recent years repairs and road services managed to escape from the central part of the city and to pay attention to township areas.

Now the city authorities are already developing road repair program for the coming year in the range of 1 billion rubles. The priorities will be to repair the most problematic areas for today roadway. "We assume that, as in previous years, half of this amount will go to the road network, 300 millions - on the yards and 200 millions - on the settlement roads", - says Igor Kulyazhev.

Now the priority list for repair of road facilities is compiled. As in previous years, it will be affected mainly by the views and complaints of citizens, including those coming through the system of "People's Control".
