The Volga Region State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism will be the best in Russia, Pavel Novikov, the Deputy Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy of the Russian Federation said. The ceremony of laying the first stone of the Academy has been held today in the Village of the Universiade-2013; Pavel Novikov noted that the construction of Volga Region Academy of Sport is a memorable event not only for Tatarstan but also for the whole country.
"Today there is no the structures like this in the country", he said.
At the groundbreaking ceremony of the Volga State Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan and Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan took part in the ceremony of laying the first stone of the Volga Region State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism.
ThenPavel Novikov, Rustam Minnikhanov and Ilsur Metshin put a capsule with a message for the future generation into the basement of the Volga Region Academy of Sports after which the first stone was laid in the trench thus given the start for the construction of the Academy.
Recall that the Academy includes the Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, the Institute of Adaptive Physical Education, the Institute of Economics and Sport Management, the Institute for Recreation, Service and Tourism, the Institute of Advanced Training and Personnel Retraining, the High School for Coaches, the College, and the FISU International Education Center.
Note that the Academy will include the Ak Bars Martial Arts Palace, Tennis Academy, the Zilant Sports Complex, the indoor swimming pool, the athletics stadium, the gymnastics center, the Center for Rowing Sports, the Water Sports Palace. In addition during the World Summer Student Games in 2013 there will be a community center in the Academy, the so-called Kremlin of the Universiade.
