(KZN.RU, December 19, by Taisiya Basharkina) Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin inspected the construction site of the ice village outside the "Ekiyat" theater. The work is in full swing, and this year, the village grounds will be twice as big as last year, and the number of ice sculptures almost four times as great.
"This year there will be 76 ice objects rather than 20. Among them will be ice towers, fences, a castle and an ice arch for wedding photo shoots," said the deputy head of the Executive Committee and Chairman of External Improvement Igor Kulyazhev.
"In the past year, we revived the old tradition of erecting ice villages. We see that they are popular not only with kids, but also with adults and seniors," said the Mayor of Kazan. "The village should bring joy to children and create holiday spirits, delighting both residents and visitors," he stressed.
