I.Metshin: "In the days of the Universiade, each bed will be accounted for"
(KZN.RU, March 20, by Alisa Rozanova) Participants, volunteers and guests of the 2013 Universiade should be provided with decent living conditions. This instruction was given by Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin at a meeting of the city Universiade Preparation Headquarters.
According to the deputy head of the NGO "Executive Board "Kazan 2013" Oksana Tubman, 39,319 visitors will be provided with accommodation in addition to the athletes, who will stay in the Universiade Village.
Certain places of residence will be provided for particular groups of visitors. Thus, the FISU members and future Universiade organizers will stay at The Mirage and The Corston hotels. The performers engaged in the opening and closing ceremonies will be accommodated at hotels and hostels, as well as The Volga and The Zarechye summer camps. The visiting journalists will stay on five river boats, which will be turned into floating hotels for the duration of the Games.
The 4.5 thousand out-of-town and foreign volunteers will be placed in four affordable housing buildings.
