Kazan children's
health camps will open tomorrow. During the first shift, more than 2.3 thousand
children will rest in municipal institutions, and in total, during the summer they
will admit 13.5 thousand schoolchildren. 358 counselors will work in municipal
camps. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected the readiness of the camps to
admit young Kazan residents and spoke to the counselors who visited Unitur camp
for a general methodical class before the opening of the summer season.
“This is a new level of
children's recreation”
One of the key
issues in the preparation of the camp is its safety. All municipal city camps
have special facility certificates, they are fenced and guarded around the
clock by private security companies. The facilities have access control and
video surveillance, police officers regularly patrol children's health camps.
This was told to the Mayor by the head of the Yal city center Konstantin
Krainov. Before the arrival of children, each camp undergoes a series of checks
and receives permits from Rospotrebnadzor, the Ministry of Emergency
Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Russian National Guard.
The Unitur camp
will organize four shifts this season. After renovation, the camp with almost
half a century of history has retained its sports and tourism focus, and its
capacity has increased one and a half times - from 70 to 100 people per shift.
The head of the
city looked around the new modular sleeping buildings, as well as tents. “Since
the camp is focused on sports and tourism, children live in summer houses for
half of the shift, and the other half in tents.
The Mayor of
Kazan inspected sports grounds for mini-football and volleyball and a rope
park, the only one in the suburban camps of the Volga region.
“The right approach to
children is the key to their good rest in the camp”
During the visit
to the camp, I. Metshin met with counselors and teachers of the Yal center. The
Mayor noted that the qualified camp personnel is of great importance for
recreation. “We are renovating youth camps. Believe me – these are not the
conditions in which we rested many years ago. Comfortable buildings, renovated canteens,
sports grounds and even a rope park. Now it is important for us to ensure the
camps with an interesting and diverse program”, - Ilsur Metshin said.
This summer, 358
counselors will work with children in municipal camps. Before the start of the
season, 100 of them were trained in psychology, pedagogy, game technology,
safety basics, pre-medical care and passed the qualification exam.
All-Russian festival for
counselors and the new building of the Yal Center
During the meeting
with the counselors, Ilsur Metshin noted that with the support of Tatarstan
President Rustam Minnikhanov, the country camps are being renovated.
“You are so
lucky, because some of the brightest moments of youth happened in summer camps,
- the Mayor added. - I am grateful to the Pioneer summer camps for the best
childhood memories. It is necessary to fully enjoy this time, because that is
what you will remember”.
The counselors,
in turn, shared with the head of the city their ideas on promotion and
development of the counselors' movement in Kazan. They offered the Mayor to
hold an All-Russian festival or forum for counselors in the capital of
Tatarstan. I.Metshin supported the initiative and proposed the Zarechye and
Vostok camps as host venues for the event.
Kristina Lukina,
addressing the Mayor, said that the Yal city center has developed many
projects, but there is no suitable facility for their implementation. The head
of the city proposed to allocate an office next to the educational cluster of
the city in order to ensure the collaboration of Yal center with the leading
universities of Kazan. He instructed Guzel Sagitova, deputy head of the
Executive Committee, to work out this issue and prepare a draft.
