Today, the school No. 188 “Bionics” for 1224 children opened at the Salavat Kupere district on I.Shakirova Street. 690 people have already been enrolled into the school, including 228 first – graders- twenty-five classes have been formed. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin congratulated schoolchildren, their parents and teachers on the opening of the school and the beginning of the new academic year.
“Seemingly quite recently we laid the foundation of the first house at the Salavat Kupere district, and during this time 18 thousand residents of Kazan have become new settlers. I am glad that now children have all the conditions for education and development at their place of residence,”- Ilsur Metshin said.
Then the guests visited the new school, built under the Housing and Urban Environment national project. They visited the school restaurant with 456 seats, two swimming pools, an assembly hall with 560 seats, and also looked into classrooms. The classrooms are equipped with modern equipment, including interactive boards. Laboratories are equipped at the chemistry, physics and biology classrooms. In addition, the lyceum has two engineering and technological rooms.
Not far from the new school, the construction of a park continues, which will be located on an area of 6 hectares at the intersection of Nail Yusupova and Alfiya Avzalova Streets. According to the concept, the public space will be divided into three zones: relaxation and contemplation, activities and extreme sports, as well as a ceremonial completed.
