The monument is a composition of three Warriors-Internationalists-a wireman, a commander and a rifleman.
In addition, a small memorial alley was located next to the monument –with the names of the Afghan soldiers on the plaques.
According to experts, construction and installation works are completed by 98%, in the coming days the landscaping of the territory adjacent to the monument will be completed. Workers install paving stones on an area of 200 sq. m., as well as a rolled lawn on an area of 800 sq. m. Trees and perennial flowers will also be planted here.
“We invite all residents of Kazan with their children to visit all the festive sites. This is very important for patriotic education, to ensure that everyone remembers the great feat of our Soviet people. And, of course, our dear veterans and visitors of the capital are more than welcome,”- Ilsur Metshin addressed the residents of the city.
Together with the Mayor of the city, the territory of the park was inspected by Igor Salyakhutdinov, chair of the Committee for Land Improvement of the city, and Timur Alibayev, head of the administration of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts.
