I.Metshin: “It is important that children are engaged in adaptive football at the Savinovo sports school”

In Kazan, by the end of the year, it is planned to overhaul the administrative facility of the Savinovo football sports school in the Novo-Savinovsky district. 470 young athletes train at the sports school, including children with hearing impairments. Thanks to the renovation, young athletes in Kazan will get their own training ground with all the necessary equipment. Ilsur Metshin got acquainted with the project of the renovation of the sports school today.

The head of the city emphasized that the improvement of sports infrastructure in the districts of the capital of Tatarstan is carried out in a comprehensive manner. “In 2018, thanks to the support of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the federal target program, a Leather ball football pitch opened in the Novo-Savinovsky district of the city next to the Golden Puck stadium, our next step is to create a complex where the administrative facility of the Savinovo sports school will be located”, - Ilsur Metshin noted.

The building of the administrative facility of the Savinovo sports school belonged to school № 113 of the Novo-Savinovsky district until last year, where a shooting range was located in Soviet times. The facility fell into disrepair over the years and requires renovation.

Alexey Shuvarov, director of the sports school, emphasized that for young football players the new premises will be a real gift. The Savinovo school was established in 2000, the football players have no a training ground-the administration of the school is located at the Aviator sports school in the Aviastroitelny district, in winter children train at the Iskander arena, and in the summer – at the Leather ball football pitch, while the locker rooms for them are located at the Golden Puck stadium. “For a very long time, we wanted to have our own training facility, where everything we need would be in one place”, - Alexey Shuvarov said.

The renovation of the administrative facility will begin in the near future. According to the project, four changing rooms, showers, a storage room for sports equipment, an office, a coaching room, a room for referees and other premises will be built on 383 square meters.

To date, 470 football players are engaged sports in Savinovo, 42 of them are people with hearing impairments. Admission of new students to the sports school begins at the age of 7, for fee-paying groups - at the age of 5.

“This is a densely populated area, where there are many young families, children, and educational facilities nearby. It is important that children are engaged in adaptive football at sports schools, we will create all the necessary conditions for them, we will support young athletes to play football and become top athletes”, - Ilsur Metshin concluded.

For information, the plans to renovate the Savinovo sports school were announced at the beginning of the year. In 2021, thanks to the support of the government of the republic of Tatarstan, the renovation is also planned at the Motor football sports school and at the Kazan Olympic Reserve School.
