The General Consulate of the People's Republic of China opened in Kazan
(KZN.RU, August 22). Today, the General Consulate of the People's Republic of China opened in Kazan. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Li Hui, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the RF, Asgat Safarov, the head of the Presidential Administration of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Rimma Ratnikova, the deputy chairperson of the State Council of the RT, and others took part in the solemn event on this occasion.
The building of the General Consulate of China in Kazan is located on the Podluzhnaya Street., №21.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, the opening of the General Consulate is a serious step in the development of relations between Russia and China as a whole. And, of course, the regional level should ass to these relations.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that trade between Tatarstan and the People's Republic of China is growing. By the results of the last year, it increased by more than 50%.
In addition, the President of the RT reminded that the PAO “KAMAZ” is developing relations with Chinese partners. “I am confident that a serious agreement on the creation of a new joint venture will be signed within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum”, said Rustam Minnikhanov. It is also planned to sign an agreement on cooperation between Tatarstan and two large Chinese provinces within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum.
“I have no doubt that we will try to use the platform of the Eastern Economic Forum as much as possible”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.
“We have excellent relations with Chinese colleagues. Today we have a wonderful Consulate General. I think, now we need direct flights, this will give impetus to the development of relations”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.
The Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Kazan was the sixth one created by China in Russia, said Li Hui, China's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the RF. He reminded that 2018 and 2019 are Years of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and China, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
