(KZN.RU, August 21). Today, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, took part in a festive prayer on the occasion of the holiday of Eid al-Adha in the Galeevskaya Mosque of Kazan. Rustem khazrat Valiulin, the first deputy mufti of Tatarstan, held the namaz.
During the festive sermon, Rustem khazrat Valiulin briefly told about the history of the appearance of the holiday. The rite of sacrifice is connected with the name of the prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail. This story teaches Muslims to sacrifice their property, time, and strength on the way of the Most High. This is a great example and lesson for every believer.
In his sermon, Rustem khazrat Valiulin stopped on the topic of education, reports the press service of the President of the RT. He noted that today anyone can get the necessary knowledge about Islam. There are madrasas, the Russian Islamic University and the Bolgar Islamic Academy operating in the republic for this purpose. The Khazrat drew attention to the fact that the acquired knowledge should be used only for good.
Also, the first deputy mufti of the RT read congratulatory telegrams from Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, and Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan.
A festive prayer was held in the Galeevskaya Mosque at the end of the sermon.
After that, Rustam Minnikhanov, together with Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, visited a new mosque in Fedoseevskaya Street. A group of parishioners, the initiators of the mosque’s construction, held the first festive prayer there in honor of Eid al-Adha. The President was told about the construction of the mosque and its architectural features.
