(KZN.RU, May 20, Mikhail Chentsov). Today, on four venues in the city - in Gorky Park, "Continent", "Pine Grove" and Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky Forest – a Kindness Fair was held, which has already become a traditional charity event. One of the exhibition venues, located on the territory of the renovated Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky forest, was visited by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
The head of the city bought several paintings, soft toys and hand-made articles made by the schoolchildren themselves, and also made some memorable photos with the participants of the fair. The head of the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan made a number of donations to schools and boarding houses, charity foundations, which also took part in the Kindness Fair, presenting the creativity of their pupils.
Along the pedestrian paths the shopping rows were organized. At the charity market citizens could buy sweets and original exclusive handmade crafts. According to preliminary estimates, about 15 thousand people visited the Kindness Fair this day for a walk or to do a good deed by helping people in need.
The festival of kindness was accompanied by a concert programme performed by Tatar pop stars, youth musical groups of Kazan. Memorable diplomas and gifts for young Kazan citizens were presented by the head of the district administration Rustem Gafarov.
“Today in four parks in Kazan over 500 educational institutions came out and took part in the fair, they made their own crafts and many other items for sale. Thanks to all buyers, this money will go to help those in need. It is important that we see a true desire in our children’s eyes to do good. This is the most important achievement for us. I really want this to become a tradition that goes from parents to children, from children to grandchildren,” - the Mayor of the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan said.
All funds raised at the fair will be sent to charity – to help children in need of treatment.
