Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the progress of construction works in the “Kazan EXPO”, RC “Salavat Cupere” and “M-14”

(KZN.RU, April 16). Today Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, inspected the progress of construction work in a number of major facilities in Kazan. Alexei Pesoshin, the acting Prime Minister of the RT, Roman Shaikhutdinov, the deputy Prime Minister of the RT and the Minister of Information and Communication of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Irek Fayzullin, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the RT, Lenar Safin, the Minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the RT, and others accompanied him during the working trip.

The visiting of the logistics post center of the FSUE “Russian Post” near the Kazan airport was the first point of the work program. The new complex will perform the function of receiving, customs clearance, and sorting of mail messages. The total area of the facility is 36 thousand square meters. The projected number of workers is about 800 people, 15% of which are customs officers. According to Roman Shaikhutdinov, the head of the Ministry of Communications of the RT, the main task of this project is to support the growing flow of e-commerce and commerce, related to the import of goods. The center has a special lane for receiving and unloading of aircraft. It is expected that up to 9 thousand tons of imported goods per year will come here. In total, the center is ready to handle 1 million postal items per day. The LPC will serve several regions of the Volga Federal District. For today, all construction work at the facility is completed. The official opening is scheduled for early summer. While the postal center is working in the test mode, the equipment is being set up.

Igor Vasiliev, the director of the center, conducted a short excursion on a new complex for Rustam Minnikhanov and told about the work of sorting lines and new technological solutions.

Then the President of Tatarstan went to the international exhibition center “Kazan EXPO”. The work on the installation of metal structures and brickwork continues on the site today. The administrative-household complex and the first pavilion have the highest readiness. The treatment facilities are completed. The contractor noted that the finished center will be opened no later than July. Also, several possible options for the arrangement of the facade and the adjoining territory were presented to Rustam Minnikhanov.

Then, the President got acquainted with the construction of the RC “M-14”. Talgat Abdullin, the executive director of the NPO “The State Housing Fund under the President of the RT”, gave explanations on the course of the inspection. The first stage involves the construction of 4 apartment buildings. The first residential building for 88 apartments was commissioned in late 2015. Then the new kindergarten was put into operation too. It is planned to occupy the remaining three houses (for 255 apartments) this summer.

At the other end of the city, 15 houses in the RC “Salavat Cupere” need to be rented right away until mid-September. The President of Tatarstan had set tough deadlines for the builders earlier. Today he got acquainted with the progress of construction works in 10, 11, 12 and 13 quarters. Rustam Minnikhanov talked with representatives of contract organizations, discussed current issues, related to financing and availability of necessary materials, and visited the house 10-5, which is planned to be put into operation before the end of April. The President was informed that houses 10-7 and 10-2 are on the waiting list. Their commission is scheduled for May. The construction of a new school for 1224 places starts in the short term.

Also, Rustam Minnikhanov visited the reconstructed Kazan zoo today as part of the working trip and the forest-park “Lebyazhye” where he discussed the plan of work on the ecological rehabilitation of local lakes with Natalia Fishman, an assistant to the President of the RT, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
