I. Metshin: “The Kazan housing and communal services is at the forefront of the country”

(KZN.RU, March 15, Alsu Safina). The best employees of the housing and communal services were honored at the Kazan City Hall today. The solemn event was held on the eve of the professional holiday, which is celebrated on the third Sunday in March. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee for External Improvement, Marcel Abdulkhakov, the acting deputy head of the Executive Committee and the head of the Housing Policy Department, presented awards to the best employees of the housing and communal services.

The head of the city reminded that this professional holiday has been celebrated for more than half a century. In Kazan, the housing and communal services exist as an industry since 1874, when the Kazan water pipe started its work. The order of the city’s head Sergei Dyachenko on the creation of a service for cleaning streets and exporting wastes was signed 14 years later. And in 1895, the first Kazan power plant began to produce electricity for the needs of the city, said I. Metshin.

“Today, the housing and communal services of Kazan are 25 million square meters of housing, thousands of kilometers of engineering pipelines and hundreds of cleaning machinery. But the most important thing is qualified and responsible employees, each of whom contributes a personal contribution to the common cause”, said Ilsur Metshin, adding that more than 10 thousand specialists ensure the uninterrupted operation of engineering systems, are engaged in capital and current repairs, improvement of the adjacent territories, garbage removal and other important work.

The Mayor marked that the Kazan sphere of housing and communal services is at the forefront of the country, and the capital of Tatarstan is recognized as an innovator in many issues.

Metshin noted the merits of industry veterans, who solved the most difficult tasks: the liquidation of barracks, the resettlement from dilapidated housing, and the transfer of the city to a central heating. “Thanks to your work, Kazan has received a strong foundation for the growth of the city's prosperity”, said the Mayor.

Aleksei Rachkov, a repairman of the 4th category of the MUE “Vodokanal”, was awarded the distinction “For the impeccable service of Kazan”. Sergei Eremin, an advisor to the general director of the AO “Kazenergo”, and Rais Samigullin, a janitor of the “Uyutny Dom”, received the Certificate of Honor of Kazan.

The gratitude of the Mayor was given to Lyubov’ Bezhentseva, the engineer of the production and technical department of the OOO RSK “PAK”, Guzel’ Egorova, the head of the pricing and economy department of the Committee for Housing and Communal Services of the Kazan Executive Committee, Alfiya Ishpekova, the leading engineer of the Technical Supervision Service for the implementation of urban programs for maintenance of housing and public utilities, Rezeda Ibragimova, a chief specialist of the accounting department of the Committee on Housing and Communal Services, Ilnaz Sibgatov, the director of the construction company “Sural-Stroi”, Valery Ul’maskulov, a veteran of labor who worked in the housing and communal services for more than 35 years, and Vladimir Frolov, the deputy director of Housing and Communal Services of the Aviastroitelny district of Kazan.
