Ilsur Metshin visited the festival of sculpture and installation "The shore"

Today the third festival of sculpture and installation "The shore" completed in Kazan, architects, designers and students created 7-art facilities on the waterfront of Kazanka River in frames of the project. The head of the capital of Tatarstan Ilsur Metshin praised unusual installations. Mayor of Kazan talked with authors, considered the ideas of ​​improvement of public space, and noted that many of the creative plans may become decoration of updated embankments, parks and squares of the city.

"I am overwhelmed with pride that such a talented and creative young people live in Kazan. I really want to see the realization of your wildest ideas in our parks and squares, on the embankments, in new housing estates - more and more sites appear to implement your talent in the city"- said Ilsur Metshin.

The city residents, who decided to walk along the embankment of Kazanka this Sunday, probably hardly recognized it. Over the weekend, on the banks of the river a small blue whale and a lion - the king of the jungle appeared, there was a square of Malevich, a huge hourglass, and apple-pavilion sized as a truck.

Ilsur Metshin reminded that reconstructed Kremlin embankment had its new life and in the framework of the Year of parks and gardens announced by the acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan old parks were restored, new recreation areas were created. In addition, according to the Mayor, today developers do not just build square meters of housing, but strive to create a new way of life, and therefore, a number of installations can be placed in the yards of the new districts.

"The shore" festival is held for the third time in Kazan. If during the first and second festivals specific topics - "Heaven" and "Wind" were assigned for participants, this year the organizers decided not to limit the imagination of the teams and gave them complete freedom. As a result entirely dissimilar art objects arose on the waterfront; each of them has a double bottom - hidden ideological content.

After inspection of all installations Ilsur Metshin thanked participants for unusual ideas, thanked a team of organizers headed by the chief architect of the city - for their enthusiasm and attention to the ideas of young guys. The Mayor also instructed to find corners of Kazan which are suit to implement interesting projects.

At the end of the closing ceremony the Mayor of Kazan presented to team captains awards and prizes with the symbols of the World Cup in water sports - as a symbol of the achievements that are ahead. "Thank you for your participation! Stay the same eager of new heights! Kazan is 1010 years old, but with you it is always young. I believe that Kazan will be recognizable around the world thanks to your extraordinary works! "- Ilsur Metshin appealed to the participants of the festival, wishing them success and new ideas.
