I.Metshin: "Impressions of Kazan depends on the professionalism of volunteers"

(KZN.RU, July 16, Adelia Galieva). Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin met volunteers of FIFA World Aquatics sports in the Village of athletes. The head of the city talked with the guys and girls that will be a personification of friendliness and openness of the city for many visitors to the capital of Tatarstan, and gave final instructions before beginning work.

As the head of the Department for work with volunteers of ANO "Executive Directorate of sports projects" Anna Zahmatova told, 2,500 volunteers will be assistants of the organizing committee during the World Cup in water sports. Of those, 540 volunteers will arrive from Serbia, Hungary, USA, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Great Britain and other countries, as well as from 20 regions of Russia: Udmurtia, Primorsky Krai, Moscow, Astrakhan region, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Krasnoyarsk area.

Kazan and Tatarstan volunteers started working first; guys have got a bright uniforms and ready to go to the positions assigned to them, including the objects of competitive clusters. Foreign and nonresident volunteers will arrive in the city on July 18 in time to take part in a number of exercises and work out their actions to automatism.

Mayor of Kazan met with 60 volunteers - students of the Kazan institutes, who will work in the park FINA, as well as team-leaders. Ilsur Metshin thanked the guys for the activity and asked the volunteers about their wishes and experiences in other sport actions. "Participation in the championship is a huge honor. I congratulate you: you have passed the competition - 10 people in place. Of the 25 thousand applicants were selected of 2.5 thousand people, you are the best of the best! "- said the Mayor, referring to the volunteers.

The head of the city expressed confidence that volunteers play a very important role in the forthcoming championship. As the Mayor recalled, one of the highlights of positive impressions from the Universiade were bright, active, positive volunteers. "The effect that our young people made has become an unexpected bonus for us. Volunteers are everywhere, at all events, but ours are the special ones! You are the flowers of Kazan and our championship, "- I. Metshin expressed confidence.
