Kazan’s Mayor announces launch of Family Business contest in Kazan
He went on to say that the concept of family business was still something extraordinary in Russia, whereas in Spain, for instance, some 80% of small and medium-sized business is accounted for by family firms providing two thirds of the GDP. In the US, some 50% of the total number of entrepreneurs are engaged in family business (35% of the total number are family companies).
Ilsur Metshin emphasised that the Family Business contest is designed to help found new business dynasties in Kazan, the ones like the Alafuzovs, Yunousovs or Aleksandrovs had once been.
The related regulation is in the near term to be placed at the mayor’s office official website, kzn.ru. The winners and participants are expected to be awarded promotional prizes as well as low-interest credits from the Bank of Kazan in the amount of up to 10 million roubles.
