Deputies of Kazan have confirmed a name for Universiade Village

 Today at the 52th session of the Kazan City Duma deputies approved the name of the complex of the Universiade Village. To the building sites, limited by Victory Avenue, the streets  Orenburg Tract, Academician Parin and Hussain Mavlyutov, was given the name “Village of the Universiade - Universiade Avyly”.  According to Deputy Mayor of Kazan Lyudmila Andreeva, during a series of meetings with the Mayor, heads of district administrations, members of the committee on place names, it was decided that it is logical to give a universal name for the entire territory of the village of the Universiade, without defining the various streets. There were suggestions to name the object after prominent athletes, such as Kurynov, were offered such names as Olympic, Student, University village. "In this complex will not be so many houses on the streets, only several high-rises on each. Therefore we decided to rwfuse from the names of the streets, because it is irrational ", - says Lyudmila Andreeva.  One of the mandatory requirements of FISU is  the construction of the village of Universiade. There is a worldwide practice, when the whole Universiade complex has a common name, and already inside to buildings and facilities number signs are assigned. The same will be in the capital of Tatarstan. All signsof houses will be designed in three languages: Russian, Tatar and English.
